Priest River Lamanna High School Advanced Forestry Class Field Trip

HOODOO VALLEY FIELD TRIP

On April 11th, the Priest River Lamanna High School foresty class headed out into a chilly but sunny morning in the HooDoo valley to participate in a field trip with the Mike Reynolds Logging crew. In preparation for the State Forestry contest on May 9th, the class practiced tree species identification. Jeff Connolly explained the mechanics of the processing head on the harvester. And on the fun side, they rode in the harvester with Brian Reynolds and checked out Luke Scott’s forwarder.
